The only thing you really need


While it seems incredibly lame to state the obvious, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen people on the trails with red faces, dragging feet, pure misery when all they needed was just some WATER.

I’ve run out of water myself more than once.  I’ve hiked much farther than I’ve intended.  I’ve gotten lost.  Dehydration sets in fast!  Hallucinations, crazy thinking sets in fast.  Sometimes the only thing that kept me going was wondering how long before crows started pecking at me if I gave up and laid down on the trail.  I usually add electrolyte powder to my water.  And…I always take way more water than I think I will need.  Too much rather than too little can save your life out there.
